Association History

The Insurance Women's Association of Southern Connecticut was created on December 12, 1955 at a meeting held at the Greenwich YMCA, where the Constitution and By-Laws were adopted. On May 4, 2010, the By-Laws were amended by a 2/3 vote to change the name of the association effective July 1, 2010 to Southern Connecticut Insurance Professionals. This change was made to reflect that membership is open to all women and men in the insurance industry. |
